The Star reports that for next week’s African Nations Cup qualifier against Niger, tickets cost between R50 and R100 and, while this is way below what you would normally pay to see a national team from a different sporting code in this country, the soccer public will still feel the pinch. One thing is clear, however - there’s no turning back. SAFA chief executive Leslie Sedibe made it clear this week that R50 would be the minimum charge to watch Bafana.
