Jonathan Shapiro - or Zapiro - is an internationally respected cartoonist who has won numerous top awards.
These include a category prize in the CNN African Journalist of the Year Awards, the Mondi Newspaper Award for
Graphic Journalism and the Principal Prince Claus Award. His satire highlights numerous social issues in
South Africa and around the world. Since South Africa began bidding for the right to host the World Cup, Zapiro
