Project 2010 - A Twenty Ten Media and Marketing Initiative
PREPARING SOUTH AFRICA FOR THE WORLD

Official 2010 sponsor Coca-Cola is pouring millions of rands into the development of football in Africa. The soft drink giant has now pledged to help build a stadium in Swaziland in readiness for the 2010 World Cup. The American company which also funds various Fifa development initiatives, last week reported that its third-quarter volume sales fell by 2% in Europe – despite a 13% surge in global profits to $1.65bn. It said a hangover from last year's World Cup in Germany was partly to blame. Photo: Project 2010
